Why not stop by and connect

Craig & Sarah’s Backyard Bash

Craig & Sarah shared their vision of their backyard wedding with me in June 2015. When you consider the long list of wedding suppliers there is so much to organise. You really do need to appreciate the time to plan a wedding. If you’re starting to plan your day read your about your first steps here.

It was always going to be a big production and it was executed so well on the day. The ceremony layout, the solid constructed dance floor, lawn games  and the marquee. It made you forget where you were. Craig & Sarah should be complemented with the thought that went into making the day a success.

Oh and I should mention that Craig’s best man from England is a genuine magician! It was such a treat to photograph people’s reactions to his feats. It’s a real ‘thing’ to hire magicians as entertainment in the UK and quite a competitive market. Craig’s family also came from the UK for the wedding which is a testament to strong family connections despite the distance.

How Craig and Sarah Met:

We met at a BBQ neither of us weren’t meant to attend. It was Craig’s 29th birthday and he was meant to go out with his friends and I was meant to go out with my family for my grandfathers birthday as Craig and he shared the same birthday. However it was raining and both events got cancelled so we went to a BBQ at a mutual friends place that was only planned that day. We met and then the rest is history.

The Proposal:

We went to Fraser for a short holiday before we found out if we got the house we were wanting to purchase. We found out we got our house in the afternoon, he took me down to the beach for a walk. Next thing I know he is down on one knee asking me to marry and spending the rest of my life with him. I of course said yes and life is fantastic.

Matthew & Kristie Yaxley

Matthew & Kristie were married in Kristie’s parents garden on the second of January 2016. With months of planning the gardens looked beautiful. There were a few nerves but you wont find a more down to earth couple who quickly shook them off and enjoyed their day. A beautiful summers day on the North West Coast of Tasmania we were treated to some of the best weather. The bridal party was full of life long mates which was very evident with the reception speeches, which were very memorable.

Enjoy these images as much as I did being part of their day. Lastly , yes that is a real Mr Whippy van that they hired for their desert. A great idea! I love the image of Mathew taunting Kristie with the idea of an ice cream to the face. So much fun and a privilege to be part of their day. By the way these guys know how to party!
