Trent and Tiffany Bayside Bliss

Their Brisbane Wedding Story

For years Trent had been searching for his Dory and Tiff for her Nemo, Then one day Tiff and Trent fell into the same pond.

There were plenty of fish there to choose but they chose each other. They rode the wave of love from there and got caught in a rip of romance.

From our first date to the third in just three days we never looked back. Tiff knew she was caught hook line and sinker on our third date when she was gazing into Trent’s eyes. After many years of dating and living between our parent’s houses we thought we would take our relationship a step further and buy our first house.

From here we brought our first fur-baby named Bella. After four long but amazing years Trent decided he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Tiff.  He proposed at sunset overlooking the beach while on holidays in Hawaii, and believe it or not Tiff said YES! After 19 months of hard planning we are finally getting married to the love of our lives.

Russell & Kayla Cochrane’s Peninsula Wedding

Russell & Kayla got married on a beautiful day at Scarborough.Followed by a cocktail style reception at Redcliffe Golf Club. It was a pleasure to capture some epic locations on the peninsula.

Russ and I met in 2005 when we were both 13.

Our sisters were friends.

One night our sisters went to the Redcliffe Show together while I was at home with my mum, Russell’s mum called and asked if I wanted to go to the Show with Russell.

I asked my mum “who is Russell?” as I had no idea that Jamey (Russell’s sister) had a little brother. My mum, Russell’s mum, Russell and myself went to the show together.

Russell and I went off together and he met up with his school friends and he decided to ignore me the rest of the nigh so my first impression of him wasn’t a good one.

After that night we didn’t talk… he then tried to find my msn, MySpace etc. accounts and was asking people from my school (we went to different schools) if they knew me and if they could get my number for him. Once he had finished stalking me…. we spoke more and more over the internet and one night about a month later he sent me a text message, we were talking for a while before he eventually said “so, will you go out with me”  I of course said yes, and we’ve been together ever since.

It was our 7-year anniversary and we had planned to go to the Gold Coast for the weekend to celebrate.

A few weeks before, Russ had been MIA after work and he was always saying he was going to the gym, going to his mums etc. I didn’t think anything of it at the time.

On the night of our 7 year anniversary we went out to dinner and walked along the night markets at surfers paradise. When we got back to the hotel Russell decided to freak me out by saying I haven’t been where I’ve told you I’ve been the past couple of weeks” I began thinking all kinds of bad things and asked him what he meant..  He just stared at me with this blank look on his face…. I began to get teary and frustrated and asked again “what do you mean” …… still looking at me with a dopey stare he slowly got down on one knee and said “Kayla Elizabeth, will you marry me” balling my eyes out I nodded and nodded and nodded, not being able to speak.  ((he had been going back and fourth the past couple of weeks to the jewellers finding the perfect ring ))

Craig & Sarah’s Backyard Bash

Craig & Sarah shared their vision of their backyard wedding with me in June 2015. When you consider the long list of wedding suppliers there is so much to organise. You really do need to appreciate the time to plan a wedding. If you’re starting to plan your day read your about your first steps here.

It was always going to be a big production and it was executed so well on the day. The ceremony layout, the solid constructed dance floor, lawn games  and the marquee. It made you forget where you were. Craig & Sarah should be complemented with the thought that went into making the day a success.

Oh and I should mention that Craig’s best man from England is a genuine magician! It was such a treat to photograph people’s reactions to his feats. It’s a real ‘thing’ to hire magicians as entertainment in the UK and quite a competitive market. Craig’s family also came from the UK for the wedding which is a testament to strong family connections despite the distance.

How Craig and Sarah Met:

We met at a BBQ neither of us weren’t meant to attend. It was Craig’s 29th birthday and he was meant to go out with his friends and I was meant to go out with my family for my grandfathers birthday as Craig and he shared the same birthday. However it was raining and both events got cancelled so we went to a BBQ at a mutual friends place that was only planned that day. We met and then the rest is history.

The Proposal:

We went to Fraser for a short holiday before we found out if we got the house we were wanting to purchase. We found out we got our house in the afternoon, he took me down to the beach for a walk. Next thing I know he is down on one knee asking me to marry and spending the rest of my life with him. I of course said yes and life is fantastic.

Matthew & Kristie Yaxley

Matthew & Kristie were married in Kristie’s parents garden on the second of January 2016. With months of planning the gardens looked beautiful. There were a few nerves but you wont find a more down to earth couple who quickly shook them off and enjoyed their day. A beautiful summers day on the North West Coast of Tasmania we were treated to some of the best weather. The bridal party was full of life long mates which was very evident with the reception speeches, which were very memorable.

Enjoy these images as much as I did being part of their day. Lastly , yes that is a real Mr Whippy van that they hired for their desert. A great idea! I love the image of Mathew taunting Kristie with the idea of an ice cream to the face. So much fun and a privilege to be part of their day. By the way these guys know how to party!

Rachael & Ian Proctor’s Brisbane Bayside royal affair

Rachael and Ian’s Brisbane Bayside wedding was held on the Ceremony Lawn at the Queensland Royal Yacht Squadron.

The skies were angry that day my friends. With rains forecast for most of the day it took all of my special powers to fend off the rain for the ceremony and bridal portraits. Rachael was nervously looking out the window as her makeup was being finished by Lorryl from Anywhere Hair and Make Up

Luckily there was a gap in the weather as Rachael made her way to the ceremony from the Manly Marina Cove Motel.

A beautifully intimate civil ceremony was performed by Laurel Donaldson from Ceremonies by Design.

The poem, Real Love by Kim Cockerill, was presented by Rachael’s good friend Josephine.

Real Love by Kim Cockerill

Real love isn’t about bringing in a dozen red roses
It’s about bringing in the washing.
It’s not about standing next to your partner because they look good on your arm
It’s about standing by them even when they look foolish.
Real love isn’t about stiff posture and smart clothes
It’s about wrestling on the couch in your tracksuit.
It’s not about oysters and candle-lit dinners
It’s about bringing home Chinese when your partner’s had a busy day.
Real love isn’t about exciting getaways and fancy resorts
It’s about being totally content sleeping- in together at home.
It’s not about gym memberships and facelifts
It’s about growing old and fat together.
Real love is not about romance or image or success.
Real love is about 2 average people adoring and accepting each other for who they are.

Ian & Rachael were fortunate to be joined by some of Ian’s friends  and family from England. I especially loved the mate ship from his best man Lee whom went to special lengths to present A3 sized prints along with his best man speech.
